Payment Labs Achieves SOC 2 Type II Certification – What It Means for Your Business

The audit was conducted over several months and included rigorous testing of confidentiality, availability, and security controls in Payment Labs’ systems and processes. Independent auditors licensed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) conducted the review.

SOC 2 Type II is the most comprehensive audit within the SOC framework. Unlike a Type I audit, it evaluates the security, confidentiality, and availability controls continuously over a 6+ month period. Achieving the Type II certification demonstrates enterprise-grade cybersecurity of Payment Labs solutions as well as the highest standards of financial and personal data protection we follow.

What was audited

Auditors examined the following Trust Services Criteria at Payment Labs, helping us confirm we serve the specific needs of fast-growing industries securely, consistently, and reliably.

• Security – this part of the audit tested Payment Labs’ access controls, data encryption, and incident response protocols. Auditors ensured that processes and systems in place at Payment Labs are designed to prevent unauthorized access, misuse, breaches, and other threats.
• Availability – these controls include system uptime, disaster recovery planning, monitoring, and procedures that keep services dependable for employees, customers, and their payees.
